Control Center 4

Control Center 4 unable to connect to Brother MFC-J200 Scanner

My 1st all in one multi function printer was a Brother MFC-240C. A year ago on last February 2016 it has encountered a problem with the printhead. While waiting for the printhead replacement and there is a urgency to print & scan account documents, i have decided to buy another new model MFC-J200 and the previous model can be use as backup.

Brother multi function printer usually bundled with Control Center scanner & fax software. I have used Control Center 3 in MFC-240C until Control Center 4 in MFC-J200.

2 days ago suddenly Control Center 4 was no able to scan any things anymore. There is an error (CC4-202-00000008) whenever i try to click the scan button.

However, import from scanner in Paintbrush

And scan a document in Brother printer device software

are able to connect to the scanner.

A installation diagnostics check, from the Brother menu "MFC-J200" at startup, shown that the scanner installation has failed.

Some google has suggested to uninstall & reinstall the brother printer software again but it is still doesn't solve the problem.

Another google search has recommend that to remove the TWAIN file.

After the rename for Twain001.Mtx to TwainOld.Mtx, a new file Twain001.Mtx is created and now Control Center 4 has finally works again.
